A student of the genre becomes the master as Jay Cross Music reveals his newest track, “All I Want”. Jay takes his 8 years of producing rap and hip hop beats from his home in Manchester, UK mixing with other genres to create this Trap EDM hit single soon to fall on the international stage. A producers aspirations coming to light, this Trap EDM track is a perfect for that night out dancing. Keeping with the Trap EDM themes, this track portrays a love-struck stalker, which gets rejected, and learns to deal with it. “All I want is you, Do you love me?” The resonance captured by Jay Cross leading up to the resolution is indicative of the finer marketability features of the Trap EDM genre. Using vast amplitude modulations, fluctuates the listener’s heart rate with a steady sway, making the need to dance a futile gesture. The tensions are kept high throughout this piece as the beats gradually accelerate, only instead of offering release Jay Cross abruptly stops the music leaving the heart one half-beat off rhythm. “All I Want” shows maturity and professionalism as each frequency is mixed keeping sizes of venues in mind, as each dynamic is able to be captured by the listener. The instrumentation is aesthetically challenging as well as pleasing. The replay factor of “All I Want” makes this track an excellent addition to any EDM radio playlist, or streaming dollar.
